Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling from an accredited program.
• Current Temporary Genetic Counselor License required (18 months).
• Licensed supervision for learning critical clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs genetic risk assessments by collecting and evaluating medical and family histories.
• Explains testing options, procedures and results; provides psychosocial support.
• Works with health care team to develop and implement the care plan.
• Participates in newborn screening follow-up and reporting to health authorities.
• Contributes to education, research and clinical activities within Pediatric Neurology.
