Job description

The Department of Pediatrics at East Tennessee State University (ETSU), Quillen College of Medicine, and Medical Education Assistance Corporation (MEAC) are seeking a full-time BC/BE Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our collegial group of pediatricians and pediatric specialty medicine physicians in clinical care.

You will work in a beautiful, new Pediatric Clinic with a child and family-friendly environment, emerging as one of the region’s largest tertiary referral centers.

Highlights of our facility:

• Established Pediatric Subspecialty Clinic representing many specialties
• The pediatric GI division has 3 physicians, a mid-level provider, a dietician, and 3 nurses
• 24-bed Pediatric Inpatient Unit staffed by 8 Pediatric Hospitalists
• Level III 39-bed NICU

Position considerations:

• The position is at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
• Faculty rank depends on education and experience.
• Completion of Pediatric Gastroenterology fellowship is required at the time of hire.
• This is a non-tenure, clinical track position.
• Responsibilities include teaching medical students and pediatric residents, and engaging in academic pursuits.
• Clinical duties involve providing care at Niswonger Children’s Hospital and outpatient gastroenterology clinics.
• Competitive salary and benefits; position contingent on external funding.
• J1 waiver candidates will be considered.
