Position Overview

Riley Children's Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Division is seeking a Pediatric Gastroenterologist physician scientist with a strong research background and high-impact publications in basic or translational research. Our team provides expert, personalized care to children with digestive, liver, and pancreatic conditions, along with nutritional issues. We are committed to improving health through clinical care, research, and education, performing over 2,700 endoscopies and managing more than 16,000 outpatient visits annually.

Responsibilities
  1. 80% research, 20% clinical duties, including basic and translational research, teaching, and clinical work in GI and hepatology, especially transplant hepatology.
  2. Engage in research across multiple Pediatric GI areas with the goal of obtaining independent funding.
  3. Perform clinical procedures such as upper and lower diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies.
  4. Provide patient care at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.
  5. Dual employment with IU Health Medical Group and IU School of Medicine with comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
  • Completion of ABMS pediatric residency and pediatric gastroenterology fellowship.
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology.
  • MD/DO license in Indiana or eligible for licensure.
  • Significant research experience with high-impact publications in basic/translational science.
