Allied Physicians Nassau Pediatric Associates in Franklin Square, NY is seeking a Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant for a full-time role that blends clinical support with front-office responsibilities. You will help ensure smooth patient flow and a positive experience from arrival to checkout.

Responsibilities include answering calls, scheduling, checking in/out patients, collecting copays, taking vitals, assisting with examinations, maintaining clean exam rooms, and updating EHRs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Medical Assistant is a plus.
• At least one year of experience in a medical office; pediatrics experience highly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems; AthenaOne experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls, schedule appointments, and coordinate patient flow within the medical office.
• Manage check-in and check-out process for patients.
• Handle copays and balance dues efficiently.
• Take and record vital signs; assist with examinations or procedures.
• Prepare, restock, and sanitize examination rooms and other patient care areas.
• Greet patients and update patient records in the EMR (AthenaOne a bonus).
