Job summary

MultiCare Health System is hiring a Pediatric and Fetal Cardiac Sonographer to perform and analyze pediatric and adult congenital echocardiograms. This role requires extensive knowledge of cardiac anatomy and the ability to discuss findings with a pediatric cardiologist.

Candidates must have a formal ultrasound technology training program and be registered with relevant organizations, along with BLS certification. The position offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of a formal ultrasound technology training program.
• Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
• Current adult/pediatric echocardiography registry required.
• BLS Certification required.
• Fetal echocardiography experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric and adult congenital echocardiograms.
• Discuss findings with the pediatric cardiologist.
• Utilize departmental programs and databases.
• Maintain patient records and exam data.

Skills

Knowledge of Philips ultrasound machines

Knowledge of GE ultrasound machines

Complex congenital heart defects knowledge

BLS Certification

Education

Formal ultrasound technology training program

Registered or registry eligible with ARDMS or CCI

Current adult/pediatric echocardiography registry

RDCS with AE certification
