Job summary

Penn State Health Golisano Children’s Hospital invites applications for a Licensed Psychologist to join the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology Medicine’s nationally recognized Feeding Clinic, offering an integrated team of therapists, nutritionists, and speech-language pathologists.

The role focuses on outpatient care for ages 0–18 with feeding disorders, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) with experience in pediatric populations.
  • Clinical background in feeding disorders, eating challenges, or pediatric behavioral health.
  • Experience working with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, particularly autism spectrum disorder.
  • Comfort working in an outpatient, interdisciplinary setting alongside Speech, Nutrition, and Pediatric GI.
  • Ability to manage a steady daily caseload (approx. 5 patients) and coordinate care with families.
  • Interest in teaching, supervision, and mentoring trainees (residents, graduate students).
  • Commitment to research, quality improvement, and/or community outreach within the feeding program.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills to support referrals, scheduling, and clinic operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient pediatric psychology care for ages 0–18 with feeding disorders.
  • Collaborate with Speech, Nutrition, and Pediatric GI as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Supervise a master’s level therapist and mentor residents.
  • Engage in teaching, research, and community outreach within the feeding program.
  • Coordinate referrals, scheduling, and clinic operations.
