Job summary

Pediatric Dental Care in Memphis, TN is seeking an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our pediatric team. You will perform expanded duties under a licensed dentist, delivering compassionate care to children in a fun, safe environment.

Responsibilities include taking impressions, radiographs, chairside assistance, sterilization, and patient education. Eligibility requires EFDA certification in Tennessee, completion of an accredited program, CPR certification, and at least one year

Qualifications

• Active EFDA certification/license in Tennessee.
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
• CPR certification (current).
• Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

• Take and pour impressions, fabricate temporary crowns and bridges.
• Take radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside support.
• Sterilize and prepare instruments and operatories.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards.
