Job summary

Connecticut Children’s is seeking a responsible Nursing/Patient Care Assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision on an inpatient unit in Hartford, CT. You will assist with feeding, hygiene, and mobility, document data, and support unit operations within established policies.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CN A certification preferred, BLS/CPR, and pediatric experience is a plus. This role is on-site with day shifts and weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or higher.
• CNA certification preferred; EMT certification considered a plus.
• BLS/CPR required on hire and maintained.
• One year pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as assigned on the unit.
• Obtain vital signs and assist with daily living activities.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic records.
• Maintain and inventory unit supplies and equipment.
• Assist with routine clerical tasks and communication with families.
