Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a dedicated CNA for full-time night shift to provide hands-on patient care within a faith-based system committed to the whole-person approach.

You will assist with hygiene, mobility, meals, and daily living activities, document care, and support safe patient transfers per hospital policy. A High School diploma and current BLS/CNA credentials are required or eligible.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must hold BLS/CPR certification.
• CNA certification required or eligible for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Rounds with previous shift staff to receive report on care given to patients.
• Delivers care using the mission, vision, and value statements, incorporating patient-centric behaviors daily.
• Promotes timely patient placement by following hospital policy for patient admission, discharge, and transfer.
• Provides care to patients in accordance with standards of care, including assistance with hygiene, comfort, and activities of daily living.
• Maintains patient skin integrity by turning and repositioning patients, preventing skin shearing, and notifying nurses of skin breakdown.
• Performs various medical procedures such as urine specimen collection, dressing changes, IV catheter removal, phlebotomy, and Foley bag emptying.
• Documents patient care according to policy, including intake and output, vital signs, weights, activities of daily living, and specimen collection.
• Transports patients, medical records, and equipment within scheduled time frames, and assists in positioning, lifting, and ambulating patients using safety precautions.
• Supports nutritional needs of patients by providing liquids, assisting with meal setup, and feeding patients within identified restrictions.
