Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing teams during night shifts. Expect tasks including basic patient care, documentation, and adherence to safety and isolation guidelines.

The role requires a High School Grad or Equivalent and current BLS, CNA, CPCT/A or EMT certifications; prior PCT or acute care bedside experience is preferred. Eligible for benefits from day one and comprehensive training is provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ PCT experience preferred
• Bedside patient care in acute care preferred
• Ability to follow isolation guidelines and safety procedures

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies and supports quality initiatives.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment and communicates effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Assists in delivery of patient care under the direction of a registered nurse and documents procedures as required.
