Job summary

St. Louis Children's Hospital's Emergency Department is a designated trauma center serving thousands of pediatric patients annually. This full-time RN role offers 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, with every third weekend and holiday rotation as required.

Working within the BJC HealthCare system, the RN Career Ladder supports professional development, leadership, collaboration, and service excellence while allowing advancement to higher ladder levels with pay increases.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma/Associate's - Nursing.
• RN license is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience: <2 years in ED/pediatric care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care and educates on illness management and home care.
• Develops, implements, and documents plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs and communicate the plan across the continuum of care.
