Job summary

The UNC Department of Neurology seeks a Pediatric Epileptologist to join a growing, collaborative team within UNC Health. You will provide high-quality pediatric neurology and epilepsy care, participate in EMU services, and contribute to pre-surgical evaluations.

You will teach residents and fellows, collaborate with pediatric neurosurgery, and work in a mature epilepsy program with substantial institutional support.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and licensure in North Carolina.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Child Neurology residency.
• Completion of an Epilepsy fellowship.
• ABPN Board Certified in Child Neurology; either board certified or eligible in Epilepsy.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care in pediatric neurology and epilepsy.
• Participate in inpatient general child neurology and epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU) services.
• Interpret routine EEGs, stereo-EEGs, evoked potentials, and long-term video EEGs.
• Participate in pre-surgical diagnostic evaluations for pediatric epilepsy.
• Conduct pediatric neurology and epilepsy subspecialty outpatient clinics.
• Teach and supervise residents and fellows during inpatient and outpatient rotations.
