The role requires one year of food preparation experience and strong communication, math, and computer skills, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and use kitchen equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in the preparation and handling of foods in hotel, restaurant, institutional or retail cafeteria setting preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform recipe/inventory calculations.
• Demonstrates good communication with patients/staff and customer service focus.
• Demonstrates computer skills and willingness to learn.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, lift up to 50 pounds and handle kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers pediatric breast milk and specialized formula orders daily.
• Uses electronic health records to modify formulas.
• Maintains aseptic techniques per department guidelines.
• Communicates with staff to verify orders and delivery requirements.
• Provides information and problem solving to patients and staff.
• Conducts inventories and distributes prepared milk and formulas to patient care areas.
• Cares for equipment and facilities per infection control policies.
