Job summary

Dayton Children's in Dayton, OH, Main Campus seeks a Medical Assistant for both clinical and clerical duties in the Pediatric ENT Clinic. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, measuring height and weight, and assisting with procedures, with documentation in EPIC to support timely provider notes.

Education includes a high school diploma or GED and a Medical Assisting program. CMA or CCMA certification is required; CPR is preferred at hire but must be obtained within two weeks of start

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assisting program is required.
• CMA or CCMA certification required; CPR preferred at hire, but must be obtained within 2 weeks of start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine clinical skills for patient care (vital signs, measuring height/weight) and assist with procedures.
• Document in EPIC and ensure timely notes for provider to dictate and close encounters.
• Manage patient flow, chaperone, stock rooms, and order tests and supplies.
• Interact with RN/NP/physician to maintain quality care and customer service.
