Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital seeks an Endoscopy Equipment Technician to support our Healthcare & Medical Services department. You’ll prepare, test, troubleshoot, and maintain endoscopy equipment to ensure safe, reliable performance for pediatric procedures.

Responsibilities include set-up and breakdown of equipment, routine preventive maintenance, documentation of service activities, and collaboration with clinical staff to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications

• Prepare endoscopy rooms and coordinate with clinical staff for procedures.
• Perform cleaning, disinfection, and leak testing per protocol.
• Document maintenance and reprocessing activities accurately.
• Handle endoscopy equipment and accessories with infection control in mind.
• Log and track inventory and supplies for endoscopy services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, test, troubleshoot, and maintain endoscopy equipment for pediatric procedures.
• Set up and breakdown of procedure rooms with scopes, video systems, and accessories.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Document service activities and reprocessing cycles in logs or electronic systems.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety.
