Job summary

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) seeks a full-time Pediatric Endocrinology Physician-Scientist at the rank of Associate or Full Professor to join a nationally recognized academic health system in Galveston.

The role involves clinical care across inpatient and outpatient settings, education of pediatric residents and medical students, and development of a productive funded research program within the Division of Endocrinology.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from LCME or COCA-accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship.
• Board Certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology.
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted Texas medical license.
• Current U.S. DEA Practitioner registration.
• U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Commitment to patient care and medical education.
• Demonstrated clinical or basic science research productivity.

Responsibilities

• Join multidisciplinary team to support institutional clinical, educational and research missions.
• Provide comprehensive pediatric endocrinology care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Lead development of a clinical and/or basic research program within the Division of Endocrinology.
