Job summary

The Department of Pediatrics at UTMB in Galveston invites applications for a full-time Pediatric Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The position blends clinical care with teaching and research in a premier academic health system.

Join a multidisciplinary team, provide outpatient developmental behavioral evaluations, mentor residents and fellows, and develop a funded research program.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an LCME or COCA accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency.
  • Board Certification in American Board of Professional Psychology.
  • Ability to obtain an unrestricted State of Texas Physician License.
  • Current U.S. DEA Practitioner registration.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient care and medical education.
  • Demonstrated clinical and/or basic science research productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Join a multidisciplinary team to support the institutional clinical, educational and research missions.
  • Provide comprehensive pediatric outpatient psychological assessment and intervention services to children and families.
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
