Job summary

UTMB Faculty Group Practice is seeking an outstanding physician-scientist in pediatric nephrology to join our growing academic program. The position is open at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels, commensurate with experience and scholarly accomplishments.

This role offers opportunities to develop and lead an independent research program while delivering high-quality clinical care to children with kidney disease across UTMB's network, including Galveston and League City.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent degree.
• Completion of pediatrics residency.
• Pediatric nephrology fellowship completed.
• Board certification or eligibility in pediatrics and pediatric nephrology.
• Eligible for Texas medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care for children with kidney disease.
• Lead and mentor medical students, residents, and junior faculty in research.
• Develop and sustain an independent, externally funded research program.
• Collaborate across Pediatrics, Internal Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
• Participate in teaching and clinical leadership within the division.
