Job summary

Advocate Health’s Advocate Medical Group is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support the care team and perform clinical and administrative tasks essential to patient care.

Responsibilities include patient welcomes, vital signs, exam prep, medication administration, and EHR documentation, with emphasis on confidentiality and compassionate interaction. The role includes 2nd and 4th Tuesday shifts and a strong team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
