Banner Pediatric Endocrinology in Mesa, AZ is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinicians and families after check-in. You will perform vital signs, assist with exams, and coordinate referrals, tests and scheduling in a fast-paced clinic.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, completed MA training, and holds an active MA certification with BLS. Prior EMR/scheduling software experience is preferred to ensure efficient patient flow and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completed approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam by recording vital signs and chief complaint.
• Assists providers with exams and minor in-office procedures including phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Coordinates care including referrals, authorizations, and scheduling.
• Handles clerical tasks and ensures complete and accurate medical records for billing.
• Maintains clean exam rooms and properly disinfects instruments and equipment.
• Orders supplies and manages medication-related tasks as directed.
• Maintains effective communication with patients, families and staff.
• Completes onboarding/orientation and participates in training as required.
