Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs based on history, observation, examination, and diagnostics to provide age-appropriate nursing interventions.
• Foster caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors.
• Utilize health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
• Apply standard work related to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
• Precept and mentor novice staff to support department growth.
• Contribute to hospital-system initiatives and evidence‑based practices.
• Demonstrate ongoing professional growth by setting goals and taking educational opportunities.
• Will float to assist in other like units as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
