Dolly Parton Children's Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician to deliver acute care for infants, children, and adolescents in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with nursing, subspecialists, surgeons, and other professionals to provide safe, timely, family-centered care.

Responsibilities include stabilizing critically ill patients, performing emergency procedures, ordering diagnostics, and coordinating care across teams.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school (MD or DO).
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship.
• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
• Eligible for Tennessee medical license and hospital privileges.
• Current certifications in PALS, BLS, ACLS, ATLS or able to obtain.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate and treat pediatric patients with diverse emergencies in a high-acuity setting.
• Stabilize patients and initiate life-saving interventions as needed.
• Perform emergency procedures (airway management, vascular access, LP, fracture reduction, wound care).
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostics.
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans and determine disposition.
• Coordinate care with subspecialists, surgeons, and care teams.
• Supervise residents, fellows, and students; provide education and mentorship.
• Engage in quality improvement and uphold patient safety and experience.
