Michigan Medicine invites graduates to apply for a six-month interval internship in the Children’s Emergency Services (CES) at CS Mott Children’s Hospital. The program includes classroom and precepted clinical experiences, with a two-year CES commitment after completion.

Upon completion, graduates are prepared for a RN position in CES, with orientation supporting ENPC, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ongoing education, and shift options (day/evening/night) based on preceptor availability.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited BSN program.
• Graduate Nurse or newly licensed in Michigan as a Registered Nurse.
• NCLEX must be completed no later than 45 days from start date.
• ACLS, PALS, ENPC and TNCC certifications within specified timeframes.
• Must start the Internship in February 2027.

Responsabilités

• Provide safe and efficient nursing care to pediatric patients in emergent or urgent situations.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for the pediatric emergency patient.
• Deliver Patient & Family Centered Care in collaboration with the health care team.
• Demonstrate competencies in clinical skills per UMHS policies and standards.
• Apply critical thinking during rapid decision making in emergencies.
• Maintain thorough documentation conforming to standards.
• Exhibit leadership in teamwork and patient care delivery.
• Engage in quality improvement projects related to pediatric emergency care.
• Identify personal learning needs and pursue development opportunities.
