Job summary

Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor is seeking bachelor’s prepared Graduate Nurses for the Adult Emergency Services Internship, starting January 7, 2027. The four-to-six month program rotates day, evening, and night shifts and includes classroom and precepted clinical experience.

A two-year commitment follows orientation; interns earn a 5% pay reduction during orientation. UM Health is Magnet recognized and recently named #1 hospital in Michigan (US News & World Report 2025-26).

Qualifications

• Graduate Nurse or newly licensed RN in Michigan who has not yet practiced as RN.
• Accredited BSN or ADN nursing program completed.
• NCLEX must be passed within 45 days from start date.
• ACLS within orientation; PALS within six months; TNCC within six months to maintain position.
• Start date January 7, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Complete a 4–6 month GN Internship to prepare for a Registered Nurse position in the Emergency Department.
• Orientation includes classroom and precepted clinical experience.
• Internship includes rotating day, evening, and night shifts; 5% pay reduction during orientation.
• After orientation, commit to two years in the department.
