Qualifications

Job description

Texas Children's Hospital Houston seeks pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) physicians to provide patient care in the Emergency Center in The Woodlands, North Houston, TX.

Position Highlights:

1. Experience working in a pediatric medical center or specialty care unit that serves complex pediatric cases.
2. Clinical duties for PEM physicians include evaluating, diagnosing, managing, consulting, and treating all patients seeking care in the Texas Children's Emergency Centers for any problem or complaint.
3. Core privileges include performing high-stakes and other procedures that are commonly performed or need to be performed urgently or emergently.

Qualifications:

1. Applicants must have an M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree and be Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
2. The selected candidate must be eligible to obtain or hold an active Texas medical license.
3. Graduation from an accredited Pediatrics/Emergency Medicine Residency and completion of a PEM Fellowship are required.
