Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a Board Certified/Eligible fellowship-trained Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician to join the pediatric ED at St. Luke's Children’s Hospital in Bethlehem, PA. The role focuses on delivering high-quality care in a teaching hospital with expanding pediatrics services.

The department supports 24/7 operations, has 6 beds expanding to 10, and includes EM residents and dedicated pediatric nurses to ensure comprehensive care for every patient.

Qualifications

• Must be board-certified/eligible fellowship-trained PEM physician.
• Current shifts are 11 AM to 9 PM (10 hours) with a goal of 24/7 coverage.
• Malpractice coverage provided.
• Pediatric-trained nurses available 24/7.
• 6-bed unit expanding to 10 beds in Fall 2026.
• EM residents support for all PEM shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric emergency medicine care as a PEM physician.
• Maintain/achieve 24/7 coverage planning toward expanded hours.
• Ensure malpractice coverage is in place.
• Collaborate with pediatric nurses and EM residents to deliver care.
• Support the expansion of the PEM unit from 6 to 10 beds.
• Participate in teaching and resident education within PEM shifts.
