Job summary

Dayton Children’s Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Emergency Department at the Main Campus. This full-time role (36 hours weekly) supports nurses by providing direct patient care, communicating effectively with the care team, and upholding privacy and safety standards in a fast-paced pediatric ED.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient care activities, reporting observations, and contributing to a family-centered care environment.

Qualifications

• Assists nurse in completion of patient care activities.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills and reports patient information as indicated.
• Maintains confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
• Follows safety management program to reduce hazards and injuries.
• Supports the hospital mission and a patient- and family-centered environment.
