Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital's Emergency Medicine department provides 24-hour care for infants to young adults, including a Level I Regional Pediatric Trauma Center. The posted pay range reflects industry norms for pediatric ED roles and comprehensive benefits.

The position is permanent, with part-time hours (20–24 per week) including rotating nights and every other weekend. Base pay, benefits, and other factors depend on skills, experience, and certifications, with a strong emphasis on teamwork

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year CA experience, CNA/MA/PCT/EMT certification, or Nursing Student with at least one clinical rotation.
• Good communication skills.
• The ability to work on a team.
• The ability to exchange information on factual matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic direct care to patients as delegated by a Registered Nurse.
• Assist patients with feeding and hygiene, and record routine information (temperature, pulse, BP).
• Obtain records and enter data into computer systems.
• Perform general office support tasks.
• Assist clinicians during examinations by collecting routine information.
• Transport patients, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Work 20 or 24 hours with rotating nights and every other weekend.
