Job summary

The Advanced Practice Provider at Children's of Alabama is an experienced nurse practitioner or physician assistant delivering pediatric care. You will manage prevention and treatment for complex pediatric cases, working with a multi-disciplinary team to optimize child health within family and community contexts.

Role emphasizes clinical practice, collaboration, education, and scholarship, with shifts on a rotating 11a–11p schedule and ongoing professional development in a major medical center

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to practice as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in Alabama.
• Current RN licensure in Alabama for nurse practitioners.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid Primary Care PNP, Acute Care PNP or FNP certification or PA-C with NCCPA.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric care including prevention and management of illnesses.
• Collaborate with physicians, staff nurses and team members.
• Engage in professional development, education and scholarship.
• Deliver autonomous and collaborative patient care across units.
