Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Nurse Care Coordinator for Pediatric Electrophysiology to coordinate outpatient, procedural, and inpatient EP care. The role emphasizes independent CIED interrogation, remote monitoring triage, and patient education for pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients.

The successful candidate will support fellows, contribute to rhythm teaching, and participate in quality projects to enhance safety and outcomes within UCSF’s EP services.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of RN experience in pediatric EP within last 3 years.
• Completed CIED training course.
• Recent participation in clinical quality projects and staff education.
• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outpatient services for pediatric, adolescent and young adult patients.
• Independently interrogate CIEDs in clinic and review remote monitoring results.
• Educate patients and families on CIED care and remote monitoring.
• Support cardiology fellows and nursing staff with CIED education and lectures.
• Teach rhythm concepts to patients and families.
• Participate in quality and safety projects to improve patient outcomes.
• Act as inpatient liaison to ensure continuity of care after EP procedures.
• Assist physicians during EP procedures, including CIED implants, and inpatient bedside EP procedures.
• Collaborate with nursing and provider teams on education and complex care coordination.
