Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona seeks an Emergency Department Technician to support the care team on the Evening shift (3x12s, 3:00PM–3:30AM) for pediatric patients. You will perform EKGs, wound care, vitals, specimen collection, and assist with exams and procedures under supervision.

Strong communication and basic computer skills are required. EMT-B or higher with licensure or BLS certification is expected, along with a High School diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required; EMT-B or higher with licensure, or CNA in state of practice.
• Basic computer skills and effective communication.
• Problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned procedures including EKG, wound cleansing, vitals, specimen collection and transports.
• Assist with patient exams and minor procedures under supervision and training.
• Provide updates to RN/Physician and document care in patient records.
• Monitor supply levels and assist with department coordination and tasks.
