Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Pediatric ED RN for a Level 1 trauma teaching hospital in Arkansas. Requires 2+ years of pediatric ED experience and an AR or compact RN license. Night shifts are 12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a 36-hour work week.

You will work in the state’s only pediatric Level 1 trauma center with a daily census around 200 and 40% transfers from other facilities. Epic EMR is used, with dedicated IV pumps and an in-house team to assist.

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arkansas or Compact state.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Minimum 2 years of pediatric ED experience in a Level 1 trauma hospital.
TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred.
Must test negative for nicotine.
Travelers will not triage patients or handle SANE cases.

Responsibilities

Work in a 39-bed Pediatric Emergency Room, the only pediatric Level 1 trauma center in the state.
12-hour night shift, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, 36 hours per week.
Patient ratios range from 1:1-3/4 for acute care to 1:5/6 in Fast Track.
Care for patients from birth to under 21, with occasional adults.
Average daily census about 200; 65,000+ annually; 40% transfers from other hospitals.
Uses Epic EMR for charting; supports with Sigma and Syringe Pump-Med Fusion 3500 IV pumps.
