Job summary

Dayton Children's is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for the South Campus Emergency Department / Urgent Care. The role supports nurses by performing patient care activities, measuring vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living for pediatric patients.

Ideal candidates have a HSD/GED, PCA training or experience, and 1-2 years of STNA hospital experience preferred; CPR certification is preferred and must be obtained within two weeks of start date.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED required.
• PCA training or experience or actively enrolled in a health care related education program is required.
• 1-2 years STNA experience in hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measures and records vital signs.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Provides safe transportation and environment for patients.
• Cross trained to support clinical and clerical sides of the business.
