Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Paramedic for its Scottish Rite Emergency Department. The role involves three 12-hour shifts per week, from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM, within a dynamic interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments, delivering quality care under licensed supervision, and ensuring compliance with state CE requirements and departmental protocols. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS are required or pursued after start.

Qualifications

• Georgia Paramedic license (EMT-P) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications required.
• PALS within 90 days of employment; transport paramedic eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competencies that incorporate age-specific guidelines and effective patient care.
• May perform as team leader and assist in delivery of patient care under licensure and protocols.
• Prioritizes and delivers dependable, effective patient care in varied situations.
• Demonstrates five rights of medication administration within scope of practice.
• Evaluates patient response to interventions and adjusts plan of care.
