Job summary

Dolly Parton Children's Hospital seeks an Assistant Medical Director (AMD) to collaborate with the Medical Director to achieve clinical, operational, and quality improvement goals in pediatric emergency services.

The AMD will serve as Medical Director when needed and will lead performance metrics, staff development, patient experience initiatives, and strategic growth of the pediatric ED.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with pediatric residency and PEM fellowship.
• Active, unrestricted Tennessee medical license.
• Board-certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Medical Director to review operational metrics and drive improvements.
• Support staffing, scheduling, and provider development for the pediatric ED.
• Lead quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical pathways initiatives.
• Participate in recruitment, retention, and leadership committees.
• Enhance patient experience through family-centered care initiatives.
