Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse with 2–5 years of nursing experience to support a dialysis unit, including apheresis, hemodialysis and home dialysis education for families.

The role requires RN licensure and a strong commitment to patient- and family-centered care. Under the direction of the manager, you will coordinate care, lead on defined shifts, and collaborate with the healthcare team to plan and evaluate patient care plans during hospital stays and home-based

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree.
• RN license required.
• 2-5 years of experience in nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in professional development.
• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment, educating families on illness management and home care needs.
• Develops and implements individual care plans with the healthcare team.
• Provides unit leadership for defined periods using critical thinking and evaluation skills.
• Evaluates patient responses and modifies the care plan accordingly during the stay.
