Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Dialysis Unit providing dialysis care for infants to adolescents, across inpatient units and outpatient settings. You will educate patients and families while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care.

The role requires 1 year of RN experience, pediatric dialysis experience preferred, and a Massachusetts RN license.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
Minimum of 1 year RN experience required.
Dialysis experience preferred (adult or pediatric), inpatient pediatric experience preferred.
Current Massachusetts license as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Responsibilities

Working in a busy and highly regulated Dialysis Program for a patient population of infants to adolescents.
Providing dialysis care across inpatient units, all ICU’s as well as chronic outpatient unit.
Patient and family education.
Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team including dietitians, social workers, child life specialist, pharmacy, etc., to coordinate care.
Working 40 hours per week: Monday through Saturday, 10-hour shifts.
On call requirement is one overnight shift/week; rotating Sunday on-call coverage.
