This PRN, hourly position offers flexible scheduling and exposure to modern imaging technology. Responsibilities include ensuring image quality, patient safety, and thorough documentation while following radiation safety standards and department

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• 0–2 years of modality-specific work experience.
• ARRT registration required; if not registered, obtain within 6 months of hire.
• South Carolina licensure (Radiation Quality Standards Association) required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations per physician orders and protocols.
• Ensure diagnostic images are obtained accurately and efficiently for interpretation.
• Prepare and administer contrast agents under physician supervision.
• Verify patient identity and orders before procedures.
• Position patients and operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy during examinations.
• Review images for quality and completeness; obtain additional images if needed.
• Adhere to radiation safety practices and departmental standards.
• Document examinations accurately in electronic systems.
