Job summary

Brenner Children's Hospital is seeking a Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics outpatient team in Winston-Salem, NC. The role emphasizes collaborative, family-centered care for children from newborn to 18 with developmental and behavioral challenges.

Ideal candidates have pediatric experience and AHB policy support for teaching and clinical excellence, with a focus on team-based care and community impact.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program; Master's Degree preferred
• Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License, NCCPA certification for PA
• Minimum of one year of pediatric clinical experience
• Board certification as Pediatric NP or Family NP and/or DNP for NP; NC licensure for nursing

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough intakes, examinations and evaluations in pediatric settings
• Develop and implement patient care plans using medical decision-making
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, social workers and therapists
• Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explain procedures to patients and families
• Precept students and medical learners when applicable
• Uphold Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist missions, values, and cultural commitments
• Perform related duties incidental to the work described herein
