Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health in Oak Lawn, IL seeks a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join the Pediatrics: Child Development team. This is a full-time, 40-hour position with a Monday–Friday schedule and one administrative day.

The role involves direct patient care, coordination with an interdisciplinary team, ordering and interpreting tests, and prescribing therapies. Requires a Master’s in Nursing, active APRN license, national certification, and DEA registration, with BLS/ACLS as required.

Qualifications

• Active RN and APRN licenses in state(s) of practice.
• National board certification in area of clinical practice and populations served.
• DEA registration prior to hire.
• BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by clinical practice prior to or within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and determines treatment plans appropriate for pediatric patients.
• Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies and prescribes relevant interventions.
• Manages conditions based on evidence-based care and risk-benefit assessments.
• Provides health promotion, disease prevention, and education for patients and families.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team and coordinates referrals as needed.
• Maintains accurate documentation in the EMR and ensures compliant coding and billing.
