Job summary

Great Lakes Family Dental in Saginaw, MI is seeking a Pediatric Dentist or a General Dentist open to treating children to join our team. We provide General, Pediatric, Orthodontic, and Periodontic services in a modern, state-of-the-art facility with integrated orthodontics and oral surgery.

The right candidate will have a passion for child-friendly care, a DMD or DDS, board eligibility or board certification in pediatric dentistry, and active licensure.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from an ADA CODA-accredited program.
• Board eligible or board certified in pediatric dentistry.
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore patient’s oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients.
• Review, maintain and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests; monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care.
• Maintain highest quality standard of care for all patients.
• Maintain ethics and professionalism within the dental office; stay updated on developments and continuing education.

Education

DMD or DDS degree (ADA CODA-accredited)

Board eligible or board certified in pediatric dentistry

Current state license to practice dentistry

Hepatitis B vaccination

Malpractice insurance

BLS/CPR certification
