Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from an ADA CODA-accredited program.
• Board eligibility or board certification in pediatric dentistry.
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Vaccination against Hepatitis B documented.
• Malpractice insurance coverage documented.
• BLS/CPR certification remains current.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases and plan treatments for pediatric patients.
• Educate patients and families on oral health options.
• Create and discuss treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment options with patients and maintain medical/dental records.
• Interpret x-rays and monitor growth and development of teeth/jaws.
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care with high standards.
• Uphold ethics and professionalism in the dental office.
• Keep current with new developments and continuing education.

Education

DMD or DDS

Board eligible or board certified in pediatric dentistry

Current state license to practice dentistry

Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination

Proof of malpractice insurance

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
