Summary

We are seeking a part-time pediatric dentist to work two days a week at a growing pediatric dental office. Our current dentist cannot work full-time, and our practice is expanding with a healthy flow of new and returning patients needing dental care throughout the week. The ideal candidate will possess an excellent chair-side manner and be dedicated to providing compassionate, family-like care. Our office is supported by a fantastic office manager and a motivated team that enables you to focus on delivering exceptional patient care.

The facility is modern and kid-friendly, equipped with the latest dental technology and designed to ensure privacy and efficiency. Located in Hamlin, Florida, one of the nation's fastest-growing communities, our practice is situated in a new, well-maintained professional building on Hamlin Groves Trail. Nearby amenities include an OBGYN medical group, a 60,000 sq ft trampoline park, a large church, Starbucks, Walmart Supercenter, Publix, Chick-fil-A, and Cinepolis movie theater.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive examinations to assess overall dental health and identify signs of gum disease, cavities, and infections.
2. Diagnose and treat dental issues, including root canals, extractions, and restorations.
3. Perform pediatric restorative and preventative dental treatments.
4. Collaborate with dental specialists as needed.
5. Supervise staff members.
6. Educate patients and their parents on oral hygiene practices.
7. Follow strict health and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

1. DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree from an ADA-accredited dental school.
2. Completion of a 2-year residency in Pediatric Dentistry from an accredited program.
3. Board Certified and/or Board Eligible in Pediatric Dentistry.
4. Valid current state dental license.
5. Previous experience in private practice is preferred.
6. Certifications in CPR, BLS, and NPI.
7. Strong understanding of dental standards and current trends in dental medicine.
8. Excellent communication skills with children and their parents.
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
