Job summary

Cascadia Kids Dentistry is seeking a warm, skilled Pediatric Dentist to join our team part-time (2 days/week) across Maple Valley, Kent, and Issaquah locations in the greater Seattle area.

We prioritize a kid-friendly, calming environment with a collaborative pediatric specialist team, modern offices, and a flexible schedule. Ideal candidates hold a CODA-approved DDS/DMD and pediatric residency with WA licensure.

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD from a CODA-accredited dental school.
  • Completion of CODA-accredited pediatric dentistry residency.
  • Active, unrestricted WA license and DEA registration.
  • CPR/BLS certification; PALS if pediatric sedation is involved.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric dental care including exams, cleanings, and preventive treatments.
  • Diagnose and treat dental conditions in infants, children, and adolescents, including special needs.
  • Perform restorations such as fillings, crowns, and pulp therapy as indicated.
  • Oversee behavior guidance techniques, nitrous oxide, and sedation per WA regulations.
  • Build trust with children and families, communicating plans clearly to caregivers.
  • Collaborate with hygienists, assistants, and front-office staff to ensure efficient visits.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation per WA state requirements.

Position Overview

Cascadia Kids Dentistry is seeking a warm, skilled Pediatric Dentist to join our team on a part-time basis beginning November 2026. This role offers 2 days per week, split across our Maple Valley, Kent, and Issaquah locations, giving you variety in your week while staying close to home across the greater Seattle area.

Our offices are designed around one goal: helping kids feel safe, comfortable, and even excited about the dentist. You'll join a team of experienced pediatric specialists who share that same philosophy, supported by bright, kid-friendly offices equipped with TVs in every operatory, play areas, and a genuinely fun atmosphere for our smallest patients.

Schedule & Locations
  • 2 days per week, with scheduling coordinated across our three Puget Sound-area offices.
  • Maple Valley: 26812 Maple Valley Black Diamond Rd SE, Maple Valley, WA 98038
  • Issaquah: 710 NW Juniper St, #208, Issaquah, WA 98027
  • Exact day/location assignments to be finalized directly with the candidate.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive pediatric dental care, including exams, cleanings, and preventive treatment.
  • Diagnose and treat dental conditions in infants, children, and adolescents, including patients with special healthcare needs.
  • Perform restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, and pulp therapy as clinically indicated.
  • Administer or oversee behavior guidance techniques, nitrous oxide, and sedation in accordance with WA state regulations.
  • Build trust and rapport with young patients and their families, creating a calm and positive visit.
  • Communicate treatment plans, preventive guidance, and home care instructions clearly to parents and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with hygienists, assistants, and front-office staff to keep each visit efficient and low-stress for families.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant clinical documentation in accordance with Washington State recordkeeping requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from a CODA-accredited dental school.
  • Completion of a CODA-accredited postgraduate residency in Pediatric Dentistry.
  • Active, unrestricted dentist license issued by the Washington State Department of Health, Dental Quality Assurance Commission.
  • Valid DEA registration.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification; PALS certification required if administering or overseeing pediatric sedation.
  • Nitrous oxide certification (as required for the scope of care provided).
  • If administering moderate sedation to children: a current Washington Pediatric Sedation Endorsement, including the associated continuing education and BLS/PALS requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board certification (or active pursuit of certification) by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
  • Prior experience in a private or group pediatric dental practice.
  • Experience treating patients with dental anxiety or special healthcare needs.
  • Familiarity with digital imaging and modern pediatric dental technology.
  • Comfort working across multiple office locations and coordinating with different teams.
