Job summary

Eastside Pediatric Dental Group in Issaquah, WA seeks a dependable pediatric dental assistant to support chairside procedures and patient care. You’ll help children feel at ease, communicate clearly with families, and keep patient care moving smoothly throughout the day.

The role requires possible Friday rotations for anesthesia cases, a strong dental foundation, and willingness to grow with the practice. Registration and CPR are valued; experience with kids is a plus.

Qualifications

• Washington State Dental Assistant Registration is required.
• CPR and WISHA certification preferred.
• Pediatric dental experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication with patients, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist chairside with restorative procedures and pediatric patient care.
• Prepare patients for treatment and create a calm, comfortable experience.
• Take digital X-rays and dental impressions within scope.
• Sterilize instruments and disinfect operatories.
• Educate parents and patients on oral hygiene and post-op care.

Well, you’re in the right place! Eastside Pediatric Dental Group is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our team in Issaquah, WA!

Key Details:

• Pay: $24-$28 an hour depending on experience
• Benefits: Employer subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance; PTO; and (after 1 year) 401k with matching paid holidays
• Location: 185 NE Gilman Blvd., Issaquah, WA 98027
• Schedule: Full-time, primarily Monday-Thursday. Team members must be dressed and ready for the 7:30 a.m. huddle; patient care runs 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch. Some Fridays are required for general anesthesia rotations and added patient-care days, with schedules communicated well in advance.

You are a dependable, compassionate dental assistant who communicates naturally with both children and parents. You arrive ready to contribute, adapt when the schedule changes, and enjoy being part of a collaborative team. You may still have skills to build, but you bring a solid dental foundation, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in finding a practice where you can stay and grow.

Other qualifications include:

• Washington State Dental Assistant Registration
• Dental assisting experience strongly preferred; pediatric dental experience is a plus
• CPR and WISHA certification preferred
• Experience working with children preferred
• Excellent communication skills with patients, parents, doctors, and clinic staff
• Dependable attendance and punctuality, with the ability to be fully ready for the 7:30 a.m. huddle
• Flexibility to support restorative and recall care throughout the day
• Willingness to occasionally assist at other nearby practices, most often Snoqualmie or Bellevue, when staffing needs allow
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background and professional references check

What You’ll Do:

As a pediatric dental assistant, you will work chairside with the doctor and team to provide safe, efficient, and encouraging care. You will help children feel at ease, communicate clearly with families, and keep patient care moving smoothly throughout the day.

A typical day will consist of:

• Preparing patients for treatment and creating a calm, comfortable experience
• Assisting chairside with restorative procedures and pediatric patient care
• Performing coronal polishing (prophies), fluoride treatments, and sealants within your scope
• Taking digital X-rays and dental impressions
• Sterilizing instruments and disinfecting operatories
• Assisting with four-handed and six-handed dentistry
• Educating parents and patients on oral hygiene and post-op care
• Charting treatment notes accurately and maintaining documentation
• Supporting morning setup, infection control, room turnover, and other shared team responsibilities
• Participating in scheduled Friday general anesthesia rotations and occasional Friday patient-care days
• Collaborating with a positive, patient-centered team and remaining flexible as daily needs shift
