Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers, LLC is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our network of ambulatory surgery centers. You will support dentists, anesthesiologists, and nurses in pediatric cases, manage instruments, sterilization, and patient turnover in a fast-paced surgical environment.

You will also handle inventory, radiography, and front-d desk duties as needed, while maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and teamwork.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current RDA license/certification is required.
• Minimum of one year dental assisting experience, preferably in a surgical or specialty setting.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications as specified timelines.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist dentists and anesthesia providers with surgical procedures by providing instruments, sutures, sponges, and other required supplies.
• Prepare dental surgical cases by gathering equipment, supplies, and materials necessary for each procedure.
• Maintain adequate inventory levels and assist with stock management of clinical and surgical supplies.
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures and dentist preferences to support efficient case flow.
• Provide age-appropriate care to pediatric and adolescent patients, recognizing developmental, psychosocial, communication, and safety needs.
• Assist with patient positioning and transfers to ensure safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment areas in accordance with facility policies, manufacturer guidelines, and CDC standards.
• Prepare, operate, and maintain dental radiography equipment and obtain diagnostic x-rays as directed.
• Prepare and mix dental materials, including cement and other products required during procedures.
• Operate suction devices, air/water syringes, and other dental assisting equipment during treatment.
• Ensure proper handling and transfer of specimens to the RN Circulator according to established protocols.
• Clean, restock, and prepare treatment rooms and operating rooms between cases and at the end of each day.
• Assist with operating room turnover to support efficient patient flow and surgical operations.
• Provide support during emergency situations as directed by licensed clinical staff.
• Perform front desk and Patient Service Coordinator responsibilities as needed, including patient reception, scheduling support, and customer service.
• Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and standards related to patient care, safety, infection prevention and professional conduct.
