Job summary

Sweet Tooth Pediatric Dentistry in Millburn, NJ is seeking a Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our caring team. This 3–4 day/week role focuses on delivering exceptional care to children and adolescents, creating a friendly, anxiety-free experience.

You will conduct cleanings, radiographs, and sealants, educate families on oral hygiene, and support the dental staff while upholding strict infection control.

Qualifications

• Associates or higher in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
• Active NJ dental hygienist license.
• Pediatric dentistry experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial dental assessments and prepare patients for examinations.
• Perform professional dental cleaning, radiographs, and sealant applications.
• Educate children and parents on effective oral hygiene practices and preventative care.
• Manage dental and medical records of the patients accurately and confidentially.
• Prepare and maintain the dental equipment and instrumentation in accordance with infection control policies and standards.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote oral health awareness.
• Guide and mentor dental assistants and less experienced staff in pediatric dental care practices.
• Collaborate effectively with the dental team to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
