Virginia Family Dentistry is seeking a Pediatric Dental Assistant to join the West End Specialty team in the Richmond area. The role offers a pay range of $18-$25 per hour and standard hours from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will have x-ray certification and BLS, with preferred pediatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to dentists.
• Take x-rays.
• Stock, organize, and disinfect operatories.
• Ensure instrument sterilization and proper infection control protocol.
• Review the doctor’s schedule daily, set up and prepare for patient appointments with needed supplies, lab cases, implants and other necessary items.
• Input treatment plan given by the doctor.
• Keep the schedule on time and communicate with the front desk.
• Maintain a lab tracking system to ensure all lab work is ready for the patients’ appointment.
• Ordering and unpacking supplies.
• Collaborate with the doctor scheduler on schedules and maintaining the unscheduled list by following up with the patients and needed treatment.
• Help the administrative staff as needed.

Virginia Family Dentistry is looking for a Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our West End Specialty team!

Pay range is $18-$25/hour based on experience. Typical work hours are 8 am-5 pm Monday-Friday.

The assistant must have knowledge of dental procedures, x-ray certification, OSHA regulations and State Board requirements. Must be willing to work in and be part of the larger team and communicate effectively with doctors, employees, and patients.
