Job summary

Gentle Dental Albany is seeking a Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. You will assist during patient treatment, prepare rooms, and ensure instruments and materials are ready for care.

The role includes taking records, maintaining infection control, and delivering education to patients. You will maintain accurate records, collaborate withProviders and staff to keep operations efficient, and help create a welcoming, professional environment for every patient.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting Program
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS Certification
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Assist during patient treatment and procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and materials are ready for patient care
• Take diagnostic records, including impressions, photographs, and radiographs as permitted by state regulations
• Provide exceptional patient care and education throughout treatment
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
• Support a positive patient experience by creating a welcoming and professional environment
• Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure efficient office operations
