Gentle Dental in Albany, Oregon is seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to support patient treatments and everyday clinical operations. The role involves preparing rooms, handling records, and ensuring infection control while delivering excellent patient care.

Ideal candidates have completed a Dental Assisting program and possess strong communication skills, with a capability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. EFDA certification or X-ray credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist during patient treatment and procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and materials are ready for patient care
• Take diagnostic records, including impressions, photographs, and radiographs as permitted by state regulations
• Provide exceptional patient care and education throughout treatment
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
• Support a positive patient experience by creating a welcoming and professional environment
• Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure efficient office operations

What You’ll Do

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications may increase starting pay:

• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certification
• X-Ray Certification
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential, where applicable
